Learning to Love

Scripture: John 15:17 NKJV - "These things I command you, that you love one another."

God's Big Idea: God wants us to love each other. You can’t force the whole world to do that but it’s something we-ourselves can do right now. It’s a simple rule to obey and keep learning to do that throughout our whole life. Watch what a difference loving others can make!

Live In the Land

Scripture: Psalm 37:3 NKJV - "Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness."

God's Big Idea: He created all the creatures on the land on day 6 of creation.

God Bless Them

Scripture: Genesis 1:22 NKJV - "And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.""

God's Big Idea: On the fifth day of creation God blessed the creatures of the air and water that He had made.

Dove

Scripture: Genesis 8:10-11 NKJV - "And he waited yet another seven days, and again he sent the dove out from the ark. Then the dove came to him in the evening, and behold, a freshly plucked olive leaf was in her mouth; and Noah knew that the waters had receded from the earth."

God's Big Idea: Just as the dove brought hope and a promise to Noah when it brought back the leaf, the dove that appeared when Jesus was baptized did the same thing to Jesus. It was a sign of hope and promise that He was God’s son and on the right path. Isn’t that cool?

Hen

Scripture: Luke 13:34 NKJV - “…How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing!"

God's Big Idea: Jesus says He wants to be like a mother hen to us and keep us safe under his wings-all we have to do is let Him in.

Eagle

Scripture: Deuteronomy 32:11 NKJV - "As an eagle stirs up its nest, Hovers over its young, Spreading out its wings, taking them up, Carrying them on its wings,"

God's Big Idea: The Bible says that God the Father is like an eagle. He takes good care of His children. He protects us and provides way we need. He carries us on His wings.

Scripture: Proverbs 2:6 NKJV - "For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;"

God's Big Idea: When you do what a God wants, you start to understand the bigger picture. The more you follow His plan, the more it makes sense. With faith you begin, start small, think as God thinks.

Singing

Scripture: Psalm 47:6 NKJV - "Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises!"

God's Big Idea: One of the best ways to praise God is singing. When you hear a songbird you can join in with thanks to God for music. It's a way to praise Him and thank Him for all that He is and does for us.

Flying

God's Big Idea: Maybe in heaven we will fly like the birds! God has many surprises in store for us when we get there.

Regeneration

God's Big Idea: The best plan is to take time to regenerate every day. We need to spend time with God and He will give us strength and endurance and help us when we face stressful times in our day, but only if we regenerate!

God's Big Idea: It doesn't matter if you are small. When we are weak, God is strong. We just need to depend on Him and trust Him.
